ChessMogg

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 24, 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using ChessMogg ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What the app does

ChessMogg analyzes public chess games from Chess.com and Lichess on your device and through our server-side services to provide statistics, coaching reports and personal exercises. Opening population statistics and library puzzles use bundled datasets derived from Lichess's public CC0 exports. Chad, our AI chess coach, may send a position to Lichess for cached evaluation and sends your questions and relevant chess context through Cloudflare to OpenAI or, when selected, DeepSeek to generate a reply. Available features and usage allowances depend on your account and subscription status and are shown in the app. New onboarding accounts require an active trial or subscription for paid access; existing accounts retain their applicable access and allowances.

3. Your responsibilities

You may only look up usernames whose public games you are entitled to view (all games fetched are already public). You agree not to abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt the app or the third-party services it relies on.

4. Third-party services

The app depends on services including Chess.com, Lichess, Cloudflare, Render, RevenueCat, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Apple, Google, Expo, PostHog and Resend. We do not control these services; they may change or become unavailable at any time, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.

5. No warranty

The app is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. Engine evaluations and statistics are informational and provided without any guarantee of accuracy.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LiNGUiD LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted in the app or release notes.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA.
