Made for moments like these
Illustrative coaching conversations, not customer results. Your coaching depends on your games and the position you ask about.
-
Day one: your opening report
- You said
- Load my games.
- Chad
- Done. You lose 120 rating points in the London as Black. Let's fix the fork line first.
-
Why was f4 a blunder?
- You said
- Why is f4 a blunder here?
- Chad
- It ignores the h5 break. The knight comes in and your king never finds a home.
-
Picking the Scandinavian back up
- You said
- What should I play instead of 3…Qxd5?
- Chad
- Let’s check the move order on your board before comparing candidate moves.
-
Before the rematch
- You said
- I play this guy tomorrow. What does he get wrong?
- Chad
- Scouted. He collapses against the Caro-Kann — one win in his last nine. Push him there.
-
That endgame from last night
- You said
- I threw this rook ending.
- Chad
- Good. Let's make it stick — rook behind the passed pawn first. What were you worried about?
-
Club championship scouting
- You said
- What's my opponent's weakness?
- Chad
- He plays the Najdorf on autopilot, then blunders in time trouble. Take him off book.
An AI chess coach for your own games
ChessMogg is an AI chess coach and chess tutor built by LiNGUiD LLC. Connect a public Chess.com or Lichess username and Chad surveys hundreds of your games, finds the mistakes you repeat, and turns each one into a lesson with positions from your own play, checked with Stockfish.
On the web, follow a personal training path, talk with Chad by text or voice, and analyze any position. On iPhone, you also get personal puzzles built from your games. One subscription works on both.
Frequently asked questions
ChessMogg starts from your real games instead of generic puzzles. Your opening report shows exactly which openings are quietly costing you rating points, compared to how players at your level actually score. Then you talk it through with Chad — why the line went wrong, what to play instead, and how to remember it.
You don't need a password or export — just your public Chess.com or Lichess username. You do need a ChessMogg account to get your report: type your username, then sign in (a quick email code, or Google/Apple) so ChessMogg and your saved progress follow you across devices.
Yes. Your report ranks your own performance gaps, so you start with whatever is actually costing you points — not a syllabus. Chad explains ideas in plain English, from your exact position, and will slow down or simplify whenever you ask.
ChessMogg uses your public Chess.com or Lichess games. Board analysis runs on your device; coaching reports and personal lessons also use our server-side services. Voice recordings are processed to provide transcription and coaching feedback. We retain only what's needed to improve your experience, in line with our Privacy Policy.
ChessMogg is free to download on iOS. On the web app, your first report and Chad both require a ChessMogg subscription — sign in with an existing ChessMogg account (iOS or web) to unlock it instantly, or subscribe right from the browser. ChessMogg then works across the iOS app and the web app.
Android is in the works. Until it ships, everything runs in your browser — sign in on the web and get the same report and coach on any device. Questions? Email [email protected].
